World Environment Day for Ecosystem Restoration was launched on June 5, 2021 by the United Nations. Tobacco contributes to pollution and the degradation of the living environment and the environment. This article seeks to demonstrate that fighting against the excessive consumption of tobacco means reducing air pollution, but also fighting against the unsanitary nature of tobacco waste, and finally fighting against deforestation due to the cultivation of tobacco. How does cigarette smoking affect our environment? A qualitative survey by means of interview and observation allowed us to collect data from 60 volunteers in the commune of Yopougon located in the district of Abidjan. Transactional analysis and discourse content analysis were retained. It shows that from its cultivation to its consumption, tobacco leaves disastrous marks on nature. Unfortunately, consumers are unaware of this aspect of cigarettes, as almost all of the campaigns in Côte d'Ivoire are focused on the consequences on health. The results reveal that the behaviors of smokers can be modified if coaching activities using the ego state, transactions, misunderstandings and change contract grids are carried out.
